Torch- it is an object in which there is fire. It is used for lighting.

Warehouse- it is a big and a extensive place where there are machines, materials...

Guests-are the people who are invited to an event.

GLOSSARY CHAPTERS 1-2 "A CHRISTMAS CAROL"

 Frightened- feeling fear or worry

Clerk- a person who works in an office.

Waste- an unnecessary or wrong use of money.

Kind- a person generous, helpful, and thinking about other people's feelings.

Striking (the hour)- the action of the clock when it is one hour o'clock.

Partner- is the person you work or do business with.

Chain-it is an object used to tie things. The ghosts use to wear it.

GLOSSARY STARTER UNIT AND UNIT 1

Cardigan-a piece of clothing that cover the upper part of the body and the arms, fastening at the front with buttons, and usually worn over other clothes.

Hoodie-a sweatshit that has a hood to cover the head.

Sweatshit-a piece of informal clothing with long sleeves worn on the upper part of the body.

Drop-to fall or to allow something to fall.

Whisper- to speak very quietly, using the breath but not the voice.

Feather-one of the many soft, light things that cover a bird's body.

Pavement-a path with a hard surface, on one or boths sides of a road, that people walk on.

Lonely-unhappy because you are not with other people.

Asleep-sleeping or not awake.

Mood-the way you feel at a particular time.

Take the temperature

Insulation-the state of being insulated.

Take off the mask

Endanger-to put someone or something at risk or in danger of being infected.

Symptom- any feeling of illness or physical or mental change that is caused by a particular disease.

White coat-a piece of white clothing that is worn over other clothes to protect them

Bother-to make someone feel worried or upset.

Disturb-to interrupt what someone is doing.

Annoy-to make someone angry.

Trouble-problems or difficulties.
